Enheduanna (Retzlaff)  Enheduanna affixed her name to the oldest (to date) literature in the Western canon. She wrote The Daughter of Sargon of Agade, the Conqueror of Sume, as well as the first “signed” poems that exist. Enheduanna was named high priestess of ancient Sumer, the land between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers (Genesis’ Eden).
We will look at how these ancient materials influenced some of the most influential literature of Western civilization and introduced our most ancient motifs, such as the Great Flood, the Tower of Babel, the Garden of Eden, and the Serpent in the Garden.

In-Person class is limited to 15 participants. However, we can accommodate up to 10 additional members who attend on Zoom. On the mailed registration form, please list if you will attend: In-person only, or Zoom only, or if you will attend either way. Classes will be recorded.
Online registration includes these questions for you to answer.
