On the eve of the 2024 national elections, this course will provide an inside view on how the American court system – federal courts and Maine courts -really works, how judges are selected, the politicization of American courts, the 2024 election and the fate of American democracy. Guest presenters will include a United States Federal District Court Judge, a Maine Supreme Court Judge, a Maine Superior Court trial judge and an elections expert.
This is a 6-week in-person course. A reminder will be emailed two days prior to the first class. Recordings of the course will be emailed to registered participants with viewing option for two weeks after each class.
