The Hidden History of the Germans who Fought Hitler

The story of WWII is all military so it omits the astonishing story of Germans trapped inside the Reich who defied Hitler every way they could: they sent intel to the Allies, hid the hunted, joined the French resistance, encouraged deserters and stopped roundups. The moral repugnance of fascism motivated them to risk their lives to save strangers and the classical culture of Germany. 
In a series of talks with visual aids, we'll meet many of these valiant men and women and discover their legacy, their message to us.

Classes will be recorded and available for registered participants for two weeks following each class.

Instructor: SANDY GARSON
Sandy Garson was working as a journalist in the early 1980's when she discovered the hidden history of Germans who fought Hitler. She went to Germany and met resistance survivors and found those who'd emigrated to the US. The book she collected all this for was never published in 1986 because nobody wanted to hear about "good Germans." But now, their stories resonant loudly.
