Have you been wishing for the opportunity to try a basic yoga class, but don't want to leave home? Or maybe you're concerned that the movements would be too strenuous for you?
This is a wonderful chance to try a basic senior level, gentle, chair yoga class.  Melissa, a local yoga certified instructor will incorporate mindful breathing and meditative exercises with gentle seated and standing postures. The breathwork and yoga poses will encourage strength and flexibility in both body and mind. All levels are welcome.

Materials needed: A sturdy chair (such as a kitchen chair or strong metal folding chair
Optional: a blanket to be used on the chair
                  yoga blocks to assist with forward folds (or large hardcover books or
                  a large sofa pillow)

4-week course begins January 27th. Class limited to 24 participants.

Chair yoga

Instructor: MELISSA CARR
Melissa Carr lives in the Bangor area with her husband, and two beautiful teenage daughters. She has been involved in the fitness industry for over 14 years. She has a small studio in Bangor, and has been teaching yoga classes and private sessions for the last 8 years.
PVSC is excited to have her share her yoga knowledge with our members.
