PVSC One-Day Event in two parts
Tuesday, June 15, 2021 and June 22, 2021
4:00 - 5:30 PM (Eastern Time) on Zoom
Infectious diseases have been described since antiquity. They have had a major impact on events in history and are one of the major causes of illness and death. We will identify and discuss historical aspects, review common infectious agents, consider the significance of vaccines and discuss emerging infectious diseases, including COVID. No prior science background is necessary.
This presentation will begin on June 15 and will continue on June 22.
Dr. John S. Kaiser, M.D., is a pathologist who attended Dartmouth Medical School and Harvard Medical School and did his pathology residency and melanoma fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He practiced pathology at Dahl chase Pathology Associates and Eastern Maine Medical Center from 1975 to 2018. Since 2018, Dr. Kaiser has presented very well-received lectures for PVSC on cancer, cardiovascular diseases, and diseases of the nervous system. He has graciously agreed to return again this year to talk about infectious diseases.
