  1. Reshaping the Cityscape: What’s planned and what’s not? (Introduction at current and proposed planning.)


  2. For Sale: What is driving greater Bangor’s commercial economy and who’s doing the driving? (Changes in retail, wholesale, and shopping.)


  3. Minds, Bodies, and Souls: How are education, health care, and spiritual direction changing in greater Bangor?


  4. How is Greater Bangor Becoming a 5G Digital Community? (Introduction and discussion of the shifts in use of the Internet of things in urban life.)




Each session will have additional speakers/panelists.

Instructor Tom McCord
Tom teaches history at the University of Maine at Augusta. A former assignment editor at the Bangor Daily News, he is especially interested in urban history, planning, and the way Maine’s cities and towns are changing.
