Words: Cooking classes
These two sets of classes will introduce participants to the ingredients and cooking styles of Italian (weeks 1 and 2) and Indian (weeks 3 and 4) cuisine. Both countries have a wide variety of dishes that are different from what is typically served in American Italian and Indian restaurants and are delicious and healthful. Participants will leave every class with a dish ready to cook or reheat at home!
*$5.00 class fee to cover the cost of ingredients, paid to the instructor at the first class. Recipes will be provided.

Instructors Deborah Averill and Avinash Rude
Deb has been cooking and catering for more than 30 years, and has taught Italian cooking at Orono Adult Education, Eastern Maine Community College, and private classes in conjunction with State Street Wine Company.

Avi is a native of India and works for the Town of Orono. His cooking style is primarily vegetarian. He has taught Indian cooking for Orono Adult Education.
